The « Fondation de France » programme (2011-2014)

The GIS « Campus International de la Mer et de l’Environnement Littoral » replied to the call for proposals « Fondation de France » (FDF) « What seacoasts for tomorrow? »
Practical skills, vision and representation of the future: research projects. The GIS obtained the contract « Gouvernance des risques littoraux Nord Pas-de-Calais. » The contract that will last for three years gathers three laboratories and finances a grant (a half by the programme « Fondation de France » and a half by the « Syndicat Mixte de la Côte d’Opale » – SMCO).

The programme has begun on October 1rst, 2011.

This day allowed finding the issues of the subject towards the various all those interested in the territory and constructive discussions. The day was organized around four roundtables, and the aim of this day was to have answers about the following four questions:

  1. The measure and the perception of the climate change on the concerned field (sea level, temperature, etc…),
  2. What are the questions (of the speaker) about the coastal dangers and the climate change?
  3. The predictable and known impact in the short and the long term of the dangers and the climate change,
  4. In the (speaker’s) strategy, how is incorporated the problematic of risks and the climate change?
